The Great Ice Cube Competiton

This term our Inquiry study is all about water. Today we had an ice cube competition. In pairs, we put our ice cubes in a place where we thought they would stay frozen for the longest time. Some of us put them in the cloakroom because we thought it was the coldest place in the school. Some of us put them outside, and some of us put them under furniture and in cupboards. We checked on our ice cubes every hour. Olivia and Syun put theirs outside behind the senior block. Their ice cube was the last one to melt. It didn't melt until after lunch. We think the heaters helped the ice cubes inside to melt more quickly than the ones outside. Behind the senior block was definitely the coldest place at our school today. Well done Olivia and Syun.

Knock knock.
Who's there?
Water.
Water who?
Water you answering the door for?

Sounds like you had a great time finding a place to put your ice.
