Floating paper boats

Today we followed instructions to make paper boats that would float. They weren't too hard to make if you followed the instructions carefully. Look under "Our Links" to find the blog where we found the instructions. It is called Growing With Science. Click on December 2008 to find the instructions on How to Make a Classic Paper Boat.
Here is the proof - they do float!!

Planting spinach

We have sprouted some spinach seeds in the classroom. Today Matthew planted them in the garden. We think it is definitely warm enough for them now.

Spring in Room 10's Garden

Our first daffodil has bloomed in our garden! The flowers and vegetable plants are looking so happy and healthy. They love the sunshine. We can almost see them growing before our very eyes!

Super Spellers

We have had quite a few children away this week so we did not reach our target of 16 super spellers. It is still our goal to have 16 super spellers by the end of the term!
Well done to these children who got all of their spelling correct on Friday- a great effort!

Hello from Harold

Who's that sneaky giraffe in the photo? Hey it's Harold! We went to visit Jackie and Harold in the mobile classroom today. We were learning about what happens to the oxygen in our bodies when we breathe. Can you remember the name of the air that goes into your body and the name of the air that comes out of your body when you breathe in and out?
