Navy Visit

Thanks to Charlotte's aunt who came to visit us at school and tell us about her job on the Navy ship. She taught us how to stand to attention, how to march and salute. That's a great salute for the photo Te Awa!!

In the Navy

We were so lucky to be able to visit the HMNZ Resolution Navy ship this morning. We had to walk up very steep stairs to move around the ship.. there were about six different levels on the ship.
We saw the bridge, the cabins, the galley and the gymnasium.
Some of us were a bit worried we were going to sail out to sea!

Similarities and Differences

We have eight new children in our class this term. We are learning about our differences and our similarities. The children had to find another child in the class that they had something in common with. Here's what they found out...

Shared Farewell Lunch

On Friday we had a shared lunch to farewell some children who will be moving into new classrooms next term. We had a real feast! We also said goodbye to Miss Evans who will be moving to a new school next term. Thank you parents for sending along such delicious food.
