Guinea pig pets...

Nehana brought his very well behaved guinea pigs to visit us last Friday.  Today we wrote a poem about them...

Throson and Binno

sharp scratchy claws

tiny beady black eyes

silky smooth fur

skitterish and fast

struggling to be still as a statue

burrowing to escape

sniffle snuffle

pat pat pat

purring like a cat

cuddly

calm

 soft

Snap! Snap! Snap!

We are learning about how things move using air.  We made enormous crocodile mouths.  Using a balloon and a straw we could make the mouth open wide by blowing up the balloon.  By letting the air out of the balloon, the crocodile closed its jaws.  Clever work room 10!

Pukekos at assembly...

This week we read a big book called The Swamp Eggs, with Miss Liu.  We painted pukekos and shared our work at assembly.  They look great!
