Owl Art

Last term we did lots of collage in room 10. Here are some of our collaged owls. We used wrapping paper to make the wings. We love the way the trees stand out with the white outline. Some of us think it looks like the moon light shining on the branches.

Mice...

Macauley, from room 8, brought her four pet mice to school. She kindly came through to our room to show them off. She knew a lot about mice and was very interesting to listen to. Her mice are tame. We wrote a poem about her mice...

Macauley's Mice

Four, little, furry mice
Grey, white and black
Tickly paws and claws
Soft, smooth fur
Scaly tail
Little ears and nose twitching
Wibbly, wobbly whiskers
Running around the super fast wheel
Nibbling at the crunchy food
Stored in the car
Comfy, cosy, messy nest
Shiny, silver cage
"Squeak!" went the mice.

By room 10

Thank you Macauley for sharing your mice with us!

We are learning about fractions. Today we made raspberry jam sandwiches.
First we cut the whole sandwich into two pieces. Each piece was one half.

Next we cut the sandwich into four pieces. Each piece was a quarter. We had four quarters.

Finally we got to eat the quarters. YUM!
