Swimming at DNI Pool
We have been writing some poems about our swimming experiences this term. We have been focussing on using adjectives, verbs and nouns.
Here are some terrific poems from the writers in room 10...
Bumpy bus
Full changing rooms
Dry togs
Gray poles
Ladder leading to the pool
Cold seats
Boggly, bug eyed goggles
Shouting children
Flying water
Chilling out after the pool
Let the water go drip drip
A fantastic day
By Matthew
Wet, cold floatboards
Laughing, kicking children
Floating, bouncy noodle
By Ahmad
On the bumpy bus
Deep, steep water
Warm, deep pool
Warm, dry bus
Yelling, kicking children
By Jaden
Kicking on the mat
Warm ,sprinkly shower
Bumpy, bumpy bus
Slippery, sliding ladder
Sticky peeling off togs
Boggly, bug eyed goggles
By Phaedra
Colourful, warm swimming togs
Bubbly little fish
Big, humungous blue goggles

Hi Room 10
Wow I loved reading your swimming poems. Each poem brought a fabulous image into my head because you used such good words to describe swimming at the pool. Well done children and Mrs S.
