Mrs S. brought her black rubbish bag to school and we helped her sort out her rubbish. She was going to throw it all away!! We sorted it into cardboard recycling, glass recycling, plastics recycling, reusing and landfill groups. Out of all the rubbish, only three things would end up in the landfill. We had to look carefully at the plastics containers to find the number inside the recycling symbol. Only numbers 1 and 2 can be recycled. We are going to reuse the polystyrene cups to make christmas decorations. We had to flatten the cardboard and put it in a plastic bag so it can be recycled.

Sounds like you are all working hard! We are also learning about recycling too. We have been thinking about ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. Have you seen our movie with our song called "Go for Green?".
